About the product
50 × 50 cm treatment area in a compact package
BLAST Bandage is designed for the rapid treatment of traumatic amputations, burns and large fragmentation wounds. Despite its 50 × 50 cm treatment area, the dressing packs down to approximately the same size as a 4-inch combat dressing. The large non-adherent wound pad can be wrapped around extremities and secured with the elastic wrap.
Occlusive layer and abdominal protection
A removable occlusive layer (48 × 48 cm) can be used to cover exposed abdominal contents in open abdominal injuries — minimising heat and moisture loss. The occlusive layer can also be used as a chest seal for chest injuries.
Braking system for secure application
Integrated "brakes" prevent the elastic wrap from unrolling unintentionally during stressful application. The brakes create multiple adhesion points that prevent the elastic from slipping — particularly useful when wrapping an amputation.
